“Hola” from Donna and Michele.  It’s been another amazing day here in El Salvador. We started off the day with a delicious breakfast of omelets and fresh fruit. Then Katie gave a beautiful and emotional testimony during devo time.
After devo, we visited the school. We went into each classroom (grades 1-9) and invited them to VBS.  We had a group picture made with all of the teachers.  Some of the youth played a quick game of basket ball.  Also, today we got to see the infamous cow that Lyndon wrote about in his post.  As we were walking back to the church, we also discovered Michelle’s hair salon.
After a lunch of pb&j, we split up into two groups. One group went to the parsonage to install a water line and our group went to the clinic to paint. We had to water the paint down in order for it to go further, so you can imagine the mess we made, lol.
After both groups completed their jobs for the day we met back at the church and got ready for some free time. We loaded up the truck and headed to Rudy’s store and the ice cream shop.
We had an awesome Italian feast for supper, spaghetti and lasagna, yum.  Tonight we went to church, Larry delivered the message.  We sang How Great Thou Art and Battle Hymn of the Republic.  The Praise Dance Team performed and Lauren and Joe also danced.  It is truly a blessing to worship in a different country and with folks that speak a different language.  However, we are all connected by Christ.

Jimmy ,

Well, today was more than a blessing. Like the ladies said we visited the school and invited the kids to vbs where we expect more  than we can imagine… a short time before leaving the school I spent a little time doing back flips, at first I was a little iffy about doing the back flips, but the kids were asking… with hand gestures for me to do another, and I realized that I should enjoy that gift that GOD has given me while I’m able to practice it even if it’s just doing a back flip. The people here are unbelievable examples of God’s love that he has for us. This past January I was able to attend a Christian camp called journey and the fact of being around people that have the same goals in Christ for a period of time and showed LOVE the way they do was priceless and emotional once I left…..   only do I fill. I know that once I leave El Salvador it will have a major effect and change in my life. Closing I just want to say LOVE WHILE YOU CAN!

It helps all of us here at home to see our loved ones and keep up with what you are all doing. I can tell by the look on each face, it has been a very rewarding experience and I am so thankful for that for you. I can also tell by the look on the face of the El Salvador kids, they are thoroghly enjoying your time with them. Please know we miss you all and can’t wait for Sunday night but also know we are so proud of each of you for giving of your time and energy for this mission. We are continuing to pray for you while you are there and praying for your safe return trip home.
Wayne, it sounds as if Bill is feeding you better in El Salvador than I was here. Please don’t expect big breakfast and big suppers when you get back to the “real” world.
